Job Opening: Project Architect
The core responsibilities of the Project Architect are to: lead the design process, oversee the production and coordination of the project, manage project decisions, and work directly with the Principal/Founder to ensure that projects are aligned with the company’s goals and objectives. This position is a mix of client-facing activities and focused production work. Requirements include: demonstrated experience producing and navigating residential entitlement process, single-family residential experience, consultant coordination, architectural detailing, and fluency with working drawings and permit sets using AutoCAD. A degree in Architecture or related field from an accredited program is required. Licensure is desired, however not required depending on experience and where you are in the NCARB process.
This is a part-time to full-time position in our San Mateo, CA office (near downtown Burlingame Caltrain), with flexibility in setting your own hybrid schedule. For part-time candidates, the opportunity exists for this position to transition to full-time employment. Local applicants only – this position will require occasionally visiting bay area job sites.
Job Opening: Intermediate Designer / Job Captain
The core responsibilities of the Intermediate Designer / Job Captain are to: accurately document, coordinate, and develop the working drawings and specifications for a project, evaluate various design options using both traditional and unconventional methods, and communicate project decisions visually via 2D, 3D, Moodboards, and clear graphic presentations of information. This position is majority focused design and production work, mixed with in-house team touchpoints and occasional client-facing and jobsite opportunities. Fluency in AutoCAD, Canva, and GSuite is a must, as well as proficiency with cloud-based file management and office productivity platforms. A degree in Architecture or related field from an accredited program is desired, however not required. The ideal candidate will be someone who can navigate comfortably between big concepts and building documentation, is organized, and has a detailed eye for accuracy, consistency, and coordination.

The core responsibilities of the Project Assistant are to perform administrative tasks in support of our architectural, interior design, and content creation projects. Skills required are: friendly and professional written communication skills, and eye for visual content, computer-savvy with cloud-based file management and office productivity platforms. Proficiency with Squarespace, GSuite, Canva, Word, and Excel desired, or ability to quickly learn.
